In May we celebrated reaching our 60 year milestone by having a party at our business. Around 130 guests joined us for this very special occasion including family, staff and business partners.
This February, we celebrate our 60th anniversary. Bridgman Street Panelbeaters was incorporated in 1957 by current owner operator Brent Johnston's father, Lerwick Johnston. Brent took the helm in 1982 and has overseen a major expansion of the business including a new purpose built spray facility, one of the largest in the country. Highlights include repainting the Otago Regional Rescue helicopter, Dunedin Town Hall clock and the interisland ferry!
Bridgman Street Panelbeaters has recently become certified as a Jaguar Landrover aluminium repairer. Certification involves exclusive training by Jaguar Landrover; meeting stringent quality control and resulting in the completion of the Level 4 Panelbeater qualification (the highest panelbeater qualification available). The repairer also must have a separate aluminium workshop to avoid metal reactivity between non-aluminium and aluminium vehicles. Bridgman Street Panelbeaters is one of only a handful of certified facilities in New Zealand.
Two vacancies have arisen at Bridgman Street Panelbeaters. We are looking for a fully qualified panelbeater and a fully qualified automotive refinisher. Candidates should be competent in all aspects of smash repairs and be motivated, hardworking and reliable with excellent communication skills. We offer the latest equipment, ongoing training, and good working conditions. If this sounds like you, please send a covering letter and CV to sharon@bspb.co.nz or by post to PO Box 2119, South Dunedin 9044.
